Iraqi bagpipers at opening of Iraqi Museum

Iraqi bagpipers at the re-opening ceremony of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad. Many of the museum's ancient treasures were looted after the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Carnival season has kicked off in many places around the world. These mud men take part in the "Farrapos" mud battle in the Entroido carnvival in Laza, north-west Spain.

Many cities in Germany host a carnival parade as well, including this one in the southern German city of Rottweil.
